SAFETY NET MENTOR PROGRAM REIMBURSEMENT CRITERA

A. Over 10 miles in one week. Over 50 miles must be pre-approved.

B. With, or relative to mentee (i.e. visit to probation officer, case manager, parent, etc.), over 10 miles in one week.

C. For mentor training. For out-of area training (i.e. Salt Lake City), 100 mile limit.
Must be pre-approved.

2. EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT (Must fall under the following categories, unless pre-approved.)

A. Educational activities

B. Cultural activities

C. Recreational activities

Limited to $10.00 per mentor/mentee event. For those mentors with more than one mentee, add $5.00 per mentee.

Reimbursement of activity expenses over the limit must be pre-approved.

It is imperative that good judgment prevail in the selection of mentor/mentee activities. For instance, movies are an easy activity, but in most cases, not encouraged, because they leave little time for communication between mentor and mentee.
